The U12 Girls were finalists in the Blue Angels Classic in Pensacola, Florida on the weekend of October 10-11. They opened the tourament with a 4-0 victory over the Dallas Texans of Florida. In a defensive struggle, they tied the Mandeville Lakers with no score. They vaulted themselves into the finals by defeating Gulf Coast United 3-1.

In the championship game, they faced the tough Mandeville Lakers again but lost to them 4-2. Congratulations to the U12 Girls on a great performance.

Under 16 Girls

The U16 Girls continued their winning ways, by posting a 3-0 win over Vestavia Attack 96, Saturday.

The team is 8-1 on the season, 4-1 in State League play.

Three Auburn goalies shared in the shutout – Nikki Turnbull, Abby Jones & Allison Kam. Midfielder Jane Gray Price and defenders Sydney Smith, Laura Nall, Elizabeth Price, Leah Cook, Bethany Kuerten, and Blakely Heideman played stellar defense.

The team has three remaining State games this fall. Two games are next weekend - Saturday against Decatur Raptors 94; Sunday versus Huntsville FC 96 Blue. State Cup begins November 6 in Decatur.
